Primers Yeast is thrilled to announce the launch of its debut commercial project - a collaboration between the National Museum of Israel and Shikma Brewery. The joint effort aims to produce a unique batch of beer called "The Feast" (Ha-mishte) for an upcoming exhibition on the social and cultural aspects of alcohol in ancient times.

The exhibition is set to open on May 11th, and will explore the fascinating history of alcohol consumption in ancient societies. From the role of beer in Mesopotamia to the significance of wine in ancient Greece and Rome, visitors will be taken on a journey through time to discover how alcohol has played a central role in human culture throughout the ages. As part of the exhibition, Shikma Brewery will produce a special beer using the innovative brewing yeast developed by Primers Yeast. The yeast strain PTS-900BCE, Sourced from tel es-safi (gath of the philistine) dig site and  which has been carefully selected and tested for its unique flavor and aroma characteristics, ranging at 4.5% abv, this copper tanned ale is a yeast and malt forward ale, with  unique full and fruity palate due to it's specific esteric profile, supported by a mild bitterness, it promises to deliver a one-of-a-kind brew that captures the essence of ancient beer-making techniques.
The collaboration between Primers Yeast, the National Museum of Israel, and Shikma Brewery represents a unique opportunity to showcase the cutting-edge technology and expertise that goes into creating world-class brewing yeast. It also highlights the vital role that beer and other alcoholic beverages have played in human culture and society throughout history.
